Jigsaw Facilities’ relationship with Business Lodge began in 2023 at their Bury site, where they were seeking a reliable cleaning partner to support the ongoing standards and presentation of the facility.
Jigsaw provides commercial cleaning and facilities support, and at Bury this took the form of a consultancy and management model rather than supplying cleaners directly.
This included responsibility for compliance, health and safety, recruitment, training and employee holidays, alongside day-to-day housekeeping.
The existing team was retained, with Jigsaw reviewing processes and day-to-day operations to ensure the service was being delivered as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Alongside this, the team were trained in Jigsaw’s processes and compliance standards, helping create a more consistent approach while making the best use of the team already in place.
This gave the management team confidence that cleaning and housekeeping were being managed effectively, with clear processes in place to maintain quality and consistency.
A Flexible Approach Across Multiple Sites
As Business Lodge expanded into new locations, each site required a slightly different approach depending on the building, the team in place and how the space was used.
As a commercial cleaning and facilities provider, Jigsaw adapted each time, delivering the right level of support for each environment, from managing in-house teams to providing fully managed cleaning services.
Widnes Business Lodge
When Widnes opened, the requirement shifted to a fully managed cleaning service.
Jigsaw supported the transition by managing the TUPE process, bringing the existing team across, and training them to Jigsaw’s standards.
As the building expanded and additional floors opened, the service scaled alongside it, with additional team members introduced where needed to maintain consistency across all areas. This ensured a smooth transition and a consistent approach to cleaning and compliance as the site developed.
Stoke Business Lodge
The Stoke site required a more complex mobilisation from the outset.
Jigsaw TUPE-transferred six cleaners, introduced specialist equipment, and trained the team to Jigsaw’s standards. Structured systems were implemented from day one to support both service delivery and compliance. This ensured the site was operational quickly, with a consistent and compliant approach to cleaning established from the outset.
Heron House
Heron House required a more flexible, hybrid model.
Jigsaw delivered a dedicated cleaning team, along with additional services including consumables management (ensuring essential supplies are consistently maintained), window cleaning and floor care, including tools to maintain and polish the building’s 1967 flooring.
As the site continues to develop, the service scales accordingly, maintaining a consistent approach to cleaning, compliance and presentation across the building.
The Jigsaw team will also expand to support increasing demand while maintaining consistent standards across the site.
Consistency Across Every Site
Across all Business Lodge locations, whether consultancy-led, fully managed, TUPE transitions or multi-service support, the approach remains consistent.
Jigsaw provides clear communication, structured processes and responsive support, ensuring cleaning, compliance and housekeeping standards are maintained across every site. This allows on-site teams to focus on the day-to-day running of their buildings, with confidence that cleaning and facilities support are being managed effectively.
